Nigerian Youths Are More Talented Than Their Fellows Across the World - Revd. David Oranye
The priest in charge of the Christ Holy Church International, Abuja Secretariat and Council Member of the NationBuilders College of Technology, Asaba, Rev. David Oranye Okoh, has affirmed that Nigerian youths are more talented than youths of other countries, across the world.
He said this while delivering his lectures to the fresh students, on the 4th day of the Orientation Program held at the Adadioranma Hall on Thursday, March 3, 2022.
The priest noted that the conditions for learning in Nigeria, are very harsh, as compared to other developed countries, yet Nigerian youths still make it big, in their different careers. Little wonder, Nigerians who study in developed countries, come out in flying colors.
Rev. Okoh, speaking on his topic, titled, "Academic Excellence: Determine the End from the Beginning", pointed out some factors that determines academic excellence, namely; knowing your priorities, understanding yourself, determination, self-discipline, prayers among others. He urged students to put to action, these factors for their academic excellence. He also advised them to always make sure they have enough rest, in other to remain healthy in their studies.
Narrating his success story, the first class graduate of the American University in Dubai, advised students to always ask questions whenever they do not understand any topic taught in class.
"One thing I never did, while I was in school was to be afraid to ask my professors for clarity on any concept I don't understand... I don't also feel shy to ask my class mates. It won't reduce you, rather it will make you a better student."
Also speaking, the founder, Sub Saharan Open University, Dr. Osita Aniemeka gave a lecture, titled, "skills for tomorrow" where he urged the students to start thinking and working towards being entrepreneurs. This according to him was the goal of the college.
In other news, the interdepartmental football competition ended on high spirits at the Christ Holy Church International campground, as the Multimedia team defeated the Computer Hardware team, with one goal.
