Prof. Williams E. Obiozor Lauds NABCOTECH Management for Maintaining Good Image

The foundational Rector of the NationBuilders College of Technology, Asaba, Prof. Williams Obiozor, has lauded the management committee of the College for maintaining a commendable image in the Asaba town and Delta State at large.

He praised the College management, while giving his lecture, titled "The Nature, Causes and Effects of Cultism and Prostitution among Nigerian Students".

This was a part of the lecture series during the Students Orientation/ Students' week, held at the Adadioranma Hall on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

Obiozor, while revealing some facts about cultists in Nigerian schools, advised students to be more careful and sensitive, not to be lured into any of the cults.

In his words: " the more you know about these cults the more you should desist from them... Some of the female cult groups are more like prostitution rings which only destroys those who make themselves members of these cult groups"

"I want to continue to praise this institution for the image they have made with the society and I therefore advise all students to imbibe self-control and self-training. This, shall augment the teachings of the lecturers and other staff of the college"

The American trained professor listed among others, some of the effects of cultism, as thus; loss of lives, incomplete education, drug addiction, violence etc.

Also speaking, the College Nurse, Miss Joy Adumali, cautioned the students on sexually transmitted diseases. This according to her includes; the novel HIV/AIDS, Gonorrhea, Yeast Infections, among others.

Adumali admonished students to improve on their cleanliness and personal hygiene which will help reduce the rate of Infections.

Other speakers at the event included; the Chief Security Officer, who spoke on Campus security and the Registrar who gave motherly contributions to the lectures.

High points at the event were; questions and answers sessions, interdepartmental chess and scrabble competition.
