Lush Hair Partners NABCOTECH to set up Academy
The management of Lush Hair, has partnered the NationBuilders College of Technology, Asaba, to set up an academy at the College campus, in Asaba, Delta State. This according to them, was to further increase their visibility in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria and to train interested applicants who intend having a career in hair styling, as well as practicing hair stylists on hair styling and braiding.
This partnership was made official after a meeting between representatives from both organizations at the College Board Room, on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
Giving his remark, the Rector, Dr. Chukwuma Anuku, welcomed the management of Lush Hair to the College, noting that the management of Lush Hair deserves accolades for giving the college a huge media publicity.
Anuku, thanked them for finding the College, fit, to host the workshop, which shall be followed by an academy. He asked them to always feel at home, whenever they are at the college campus
Responding to the Rector, the Brand manager of Lush Hair, Mrs. Ritakambr, thanked the management of the Nation-Builders College of Technology, Asaba for the support and assistance provided to host the workshop.
Explaning why the academy was founded she said: “as a brand we looked round the country and saw that there are very many hair stylists. Many of them do not have the proper technical skills, the ones who have the skills don’t have the proper business. Seeing that we have the hair and the brand, we decided to commence the communication skills as well as other managerial and entrepreneurial skills to run a training of these people to have a healthy hair styling in Nigeria.”
Ritakambr revealed that hairstylists in advanced countries often go through preparatory classes, before learning the proper hair styling skills.
“In some advanced countries, there are some certifications that stylist should have, before being able to touch someone’s hair. That is the gap Lush Hair wants to fill, to provide the basics of what should be known about hair styling” she said.
After modes of operation were discussed by the two party, a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) was signed to commence the academy at the NationBuilders College of Technology, Asaba.
